Refractory castable is an unshaped refractory material that is mixed with water and solidified with a binder. Its application range is very wide, and it can achieve seamless masonry effect when used in the furnace. With the prolongation of furnace usage time, the refractory castable exhibits surface powdering, cracks, and concave convex surfaces. Later, it was replaced by arc fire brick, which were built in the furnace with refractory mud. Since the furnace is cylindrical in shape, with a diameter of about 1.8 m, arc fire brick were used. As the shape of the furnace is bonded with refractory mud from bottom to top, the masonry defect of fire brick is the mortar joints built by workers. The quantity of fire brick used in each furnace is about 5 tons. During the use of fire brick, it is found that the gas from the burned garbage corrodes too fast, and the service life is less than that of refractory castables.

Later, the furnace refractory material was redefined, and high alumina alumina clinker, corundum powder, and active aluminum oxide powder were selected in the refractory castable products, with 90 grade fused alumina cement as the binder. After such treatment, the service life of the refractory casting material furnace has been extended by 9 months compared to the previously used refractory materials, and the effect is obvious. Through analysis, it is believed that the key to the use effect of refractory castable in the furnace lies in the selection of raw materials, the proportion of raw materials, and the high-temperature strength of the product.

After the successful use of refractory castable in the furnace, the production of the furnace grate also switched to the same refractory castable. Previously, cast iron was used as the grate, but the weight of cast iron was large and the melting point was low. After 2 months of use, burning out occurs. The cost of replacing the cast iron grate was 12000 RMB, which was high. Through analysis, the production of the grate is modified according to the shape that can be made of refractory castable,the function of the furnace grate in the furnace must first be able to withstand the heavy pressure of the material, and secondly, it must also withstand the thermal gravity and erosion force of the material during high-temperature incineration. The furnace refractory castable is selected to change the appearance of the furnace grate to a circular grate form. After pouring, prefabricating, drying, and other processes in the factory, The fire resistance inspection of refractory castable grate is higher than that of cast iron, and although its compressive strength is lower than that of cast iron, its high-temperature hot pressing is higher than that of cast iron material. And there is no burning out phenomenon during use, which is recommended to use.
