Routine Maintenance

  • Daily Inspection items for each operation group: checking flame shape including length, width, thickness, flame brightness and uniformity, checking seal condition around burner body and the existence of overheat sections, checking conditions of burner body and burner blocks, checking conditions of gas supply pipeline;
  • Weekly operation items: (the specific frequency and content are determined according to the actual situation of the factory. It is recommended that the frequency will be once a week.) Checking and cleaning main oxygen nozzle hole of burner block (through the convenient inspection hole), pulling out the fuel nozzle and checking the status of the internal nozzle (conditions of burning loss, connection and ash accumulation).
  • Monthly operation items: checking the leakage of each sealing link, removing the inner fuel effuser of the fuel nozzle, cleaning and maintaining. (Eliminating carbon and ash accumulation, replacing if necessary.)

Operation and Maintenance

  • The disassembly of burner and its parts shall be prohibited in operation (with oxygen/and/or natural gas).
  • The burner shall not be ignited before the minimum temperature in the combustion space is lower than 800DC (unless UV system is used and safe linkage is ensured)

Precondition of Combustion after the oxidizer/fuel fed into the burner

  • The disassembly of burner and its parts shall be prohibited in operation (with oxygen/and/or natural gas).
  • The burner shall not be ignited before the minimum temperature in the combustion space is lower than 800DC (unless UV system is used and safe linkage is ensured)

If the temperature inside the furnace is lower than the fuel/oxidizer autoignition temperature (within all reaching range of the fuel/oxidizer)

  • Using an ignition device to aid the ignition.
  • Using UV to monitor flame, interlinking and controling with the fuel/oxidizer control system.
  • Important inspection requirements in the process of combustion.
  • Inspecting leakages of fuel/oxidizer.
  • Inspecting whether the flame is normal.
  • Inspecting whether there is any anomaly in the composition of the exhaust gas

Burner emergency disposal/safety requirements (when running the burner in the factory)

  • When replacing or maintaining the burner, in order to prevent the risk of combustion caused by oxygen or natural gas leakage, fan blowing shall be applied on site.
  • The oxygen and natural gas supply to the burner shall be stopped immediately if combustion occurs outside the burner.
  • If oxygen or natural gas is found to be enriched around the burner (no obvious leakage), the supply of oxygen and natural gas to the burner shall be shut off immediately. Meanwhile, the fan shall be used to blow air locally to the burner. Locating the source of the leak and deal with it.
  • It is not permitted to pull out the nature gas nozzle when the nature gas is being supplied.
  • When the combustion has been stopped for over 5 minutes, the burner metal parts shall be removed and the holes on burner blocks shall be sealed
